Fall
Foliage
In the autumn, before winter arrives, the leaves tend to turn colors
and start to fall off the trees. It is at this time when fall foliage
can be seen around the nation. Fall foliage is a beautiful thing to see
in the months of autumn. The New England area has gorgeous foliage in
the fall which is famous throughout the country. Every part of the
nation has some sort of fall foliage as it is the regular yearly cycle
for a tree for its leaves to change colors and then fall off.
There are many trips that can be taken around the nation to see this
spectacular annual event. The best part of the United States to look at
gorgeous fall foliage is the New England area. The states of
Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Vermont, New Hampshire, and
Massachusetts all have beautiful autumn foliage once autumn comes
around. There are many specific tours in each of these states, and
others, which you can experience the beauty of fall foliage.
The south is also breathtaking as the trees go through their yearly
cycle. The south is not as well known as the New England fall foliage
but it is just as beautiful. In particular Alabama is known for its
gorgeous foliage once autumn comes around.
Anywhere in the nation where there are an abundance of trees will
become a work of art during October and November. The leaves can be in
many different colors from moss green to a beautiful shade of orange.
It all depends on the time of year, where you are in the United States,
and what type of tree it is.
Many people consider fall in New York City to be the best time of year
because of the natural colors leaping from the landscape in Manhattan.
Central Park has so many trees that once autumn comes the park are
filled with fall foliage in a wide variety of colors. It is a great
“walk in the park” to leave the hustle and bustle
of the Big Apple and take a stroll through Central Park looking at all
the gorgeous fall foliage on the ground or still on the trees. This is
one of the largest tourist attractions of New York City as millions
come to the city each year to see the fall colors in Central Park.
Although most people will claim that they prefer the spring and summer
months, nothing can compare to the beauty of watching the leaves turn
color and fall gracefully to the ground. If you have your own yard you
need not go far to see how spectacular autumn really can be.
