Theater System
These days it has never been sweeter to have a home theater
system. Hollywood keeps pumping out trash, and the home
entertainment technologies just keep getting better, so it’s
no wonder that people are more and more opting to stay home and watch
movies on their own home theatre systems rather than in the
cinemas.
With the movie experience getting more obnoxious and more expensive
every year, you just can’t go wrong with a home theater
system if you like movies at all. Not only are the ticket
prices ridiculous for movies, but you have to sit there and watch a
half an hour or more of painfully loud and annoying advertisements and
previews. I never used to mind a few previews, but fifteen
previews is a little much, especially when they’re broken up
with ads for Coke and other products. I don’t have
to pay $10.50 to watch commercials; I can see as many commercials as I
want for free at home.
Not only is watching commercials easy to do from home, but renting or
ordering movies is a piece of cake these days as well. With
online movie rental companies like Netflix, and On Demand movies from
cable providers, it’s entirely effortless to keep a flow of
good movies to watch coming through your home. This ease of
movie watching makes having a good home theater system really pay
off. While there is still an inherent excitement about going
out to the movies, 4 times out of 5 I’d rather save the cash
and watch something on my home theater system. Especially
with all the terrible movies in the theaters these days.
Home theater systems have gotten amazing in visual and audio
quality. With Dolby 5.1 surround sound and a flat panel
television of 36 inches or more, you’re pretty much in movie
watching heaven. That’s the set up I have, and it
never ceases to blow me away.
If you find yourself getting annoying by the movie experience in
theatres, or for whatever other reason just like to watch movies at
home, I recommend getting a good home theater system.
They’re not as expensive as you would think, and although
they take a little effort and planning to set up, they can really make
your video watching nights a joy. I definitely recommend
opting for surround sound. It really makes you feel like
you’re in the movie, and is every bit as immersive as the
cinema experience.
